Record High Summer School 2023

August 7 – 11, 2023:  Twenty-five high school students from New Jersey engaged in the second annual Summer School, a unique program presented by Prudential Center in partnership with Arts High School in Newark, NJ. This empowering educational initiative offered students the opportunity to select from two compelling career tracks: Contemporary Songwriting and Hip Hop Lyric Writing and Performance.

Over the course of the week, they immersed themselves in a comprehensive curriculum, exploring essential concepts encompassing melody, harmony, composition, lyric development, and key fundamental aspects of the music industry.

Throughout this immersive experience, these talented teens collaborated closely, pooling their creative energies. On the final day, the students graced the stage of the Arts High School auditorium, where they proudly presented their newly crafted original works.
