MTV: All Access

September 8, 2023:  Sixty students hailing from five distinct Newark Public Schools were granted a rare and unforgettable glimpse into the inner workings of the iconic MTV VMAs, hosted at the Prudential Center.

This remarkable program was made possible through a collaborative effort between Record High and the Save the Music Foundation. The students engaged in an enlightening workshop, where they gained insights into the diverse careers within live concert and television production. They had the unique privilege of interacting with the brilliant minds responsible for the creative and technical aspects of the production.

Following the workshop, the students embarked on an exclusive tour, delving into the intricacies of the production’s technical elements. As the crowning moment of their experience, these students received a special invitation to attend the VMAs as honored guests of MTV, alongside their partners, Record High, and the Save the Music Foundation.
