Powerhouse: All Access 

October 28, 2023:  In anticipation of the Powerhouse 105.1 Powerhouse 23 concert, 15 students enrolled in Record High’s Summer School Hip Hop program were privileged to participate in a performance workshop with the trailblazing female MC, Debbie D. This exclusive event marked a celebration of Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary, providing the students with a unique opportunity to learn from a pioneer in the genre.

Adding to the excitement, Malachi Gwyn, a student from Arts High School in Newark and a participant in Record High’s program, represented the organization as our red-carpet teen correspondent. During the event, Malachi seized the opportunity to pose thought-provoking questions to the guest luminaries, seeking their advice for young individuals aspiring to pursue a career in the industry.
